American minimalism historically relied on a discipline of stripping away the excess until only the essential structure remained. Under Creative Director Veronica Leoni, Calvin Klein Collection pushes that philosophy further for Spring 2027. Rather than focusing solely on the garment itself, Leoni directs the reduction process toward the relationship between design and the person wearing it, creating a collection centered on purity and human desire.
Staged within the historic 1891 Terminal Warehouse in New York City, the venue’s industrial brick architecture hosted three floor sculptures by artist Walter De Maria. Models and guests moved through the space alongside a custom soundtrack by Kid Harpoon featuring vocal layers from Laurie Anderson and Solange.
Extended proportions, sportswear references, and O'Keeffe plaids
The collection reinterprets signature coats, shirts, tailored suits, trousers, pencil skirts, and slip dresses by stretching proportions longer and narrower or nipping them precisely at the waist.
Three-button cotton suits offer the ease of a casual t-shirt and sit alongside jackets with broader shoulders built for layering. Bias-cut slip and t-shirt dresses scale to dramatic evening volumes, complemented by ultra-fine silk knit tees and color-blocked silk cady baseball shirts. Workings in leather, laser-cut suede, subtle glimpses of underwear, and denim integrate sportswear notes into high tailoring. A core base of stark whites and deep blacks contrasts with pops of scarlet red, bright yellow, royal blue, cherry, light citron, and a plaid pattern inspired by Georgia O’Keeffe’s wardrobe.
Accessories emphasize practical function. Metallic headbands pull the hair cleanly back while smooth fluid scarves taper to a point. Handbags expand in size, ranging from streamlined structured forms to soft relaxed shapes featuring a geometric origami-style triangle silhouette.
A gathering of global fashion and cultural figures
The front row brought together a wide array of international talent across music, cinema, and fashion. ROSALÍA, Teyana Taylor, Tate McRae, Sadie Sink, Pamela Anderson, Emily Ratajkowski, Gemma Chan, Katie Holmes, St. Vincent, and Iris Law attended dressed in Calvin Klein Collection pieces.
Digital creators and cultural icons including Charli D'Amelio, Alexa Chung, Camila Coelho, Nara Smith, and Wisdom Kaye also joined the presentation wearing looks from across the Calvin Klein universe.
With Spring 2027, Veronica Leoni establishes a clear vision for Calvin Klein Collection, pairing stripped-back American architectural codes with modern personal expression.
